Legal Notices: After planning and zoning commission consideration the amendment shall be presented to the city council for final action. City council shall hold a public hearing before acting on any amendment to the zoning ordinance or official zoning map. Notice of the public hearing shall be placed in the official newspaper or a newspaper of general circulation in the city before the 15th day before the date of the hearing.
