Library Cards

Any Texas resident may apply here for a library card that will immediately provide access to our online services. To check out physical items, you must then come to the library and provide the following:

Adults 18 and over need to provide a current picture ID and verification of their current address.  Address verification can be a current voter's registration card or current vehicle insurance card, or an item that has been mailed to the address within the last 30 days and shows the person's name.

You must be present in the library to be issued a physical library card (not limited to e-resources). (For example, a spouse or parent may get a card in their name if they provide the proper ID, but not for a spouse or child who is not in the library when the card is issued.)

Anyone under the age of 18 must have the signature of a parent or legal guardian who can provide the above identification and address verification.

Anyone 5 years old and above may be issued a library card.

Everyone is required to present their card to check out materials.  The first card is free. Replacement cards are $2 each.
