Memorial/Commemoration: Named for Dr. J.R. Raby, local physician.

Date Established: 1910

Recreational Facilities: Playground equipment, basketball court, skate park, Teqball table, two pickleball courts, walking trails, picnic tables, a seasonal splash pad, a municipal swimming pool, and an 18 hole disc golf course.

City Pool CLOSED UNTIL MAY 2024

The Gatesville City Pool is located at 300 S. 8th St, Gatesville, TX.

With a one-meter diving board, 6 swimming lanes and 3 children’s slides, the Gatesville City Pool is a hit with both avid swimmers and dog-paddling kiddos. Amenities include restrooms, showers, baby pool, patio furniture, shaded areas, and a concessions stand. The Gatesville City Pool also offers private pool parties and kid's swim lessons for a nominal fee.

Splash Park

Splash Pad is closed until May 1, 2024

The Gatesville Splash Park is located in Raby Park at 910 Bridge St.

Operating hours are 9 AM to 9 PM every day.

Skate Park

The Gatesville Skate Park offers more than just a fun and safe place to skateboard or scooter. The facility is a multi-sport area adjacent to the Gatesville City Pool that also contains two pickleball courts and a Teqball table.

The Gatesville Skate Park has been recently updated thanks to the contributions of Stanley Chevrolet of McGregor, Higginbotham Brothers of Gatesville, the GHS CTE-Construction Tech class, Teqball USA, and Kalyn Siebert.

Pickleball

The Gatesville Parks and Recreation Department has installed two regulation Pickleball courts at the Raby Park. The courts are located adjacent to the City Pool and Skate Park.
