Animal Control Officer

The Gatesville Police Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Animal Control Officer.  Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years of age, have a clean driving record, be able to lift over 50 pounds, and be knowledgeable in the animal field. 

Successful applicants will be responsible for addressing and following up with animal complaints within the City, enforcing animal laws and ordinances, removing dead, injured or dangerous animals from city streets and residential premises, and maintaining the City's Animal Shelter.  Weekend work is required.
