Merchandise Vendor Information 

Thank you for your interest in participating as a merchandise vendor at City-sponsored events. This provides important information regarding vendor eligibility, application procedures, and operational requirements. Vendors are required to review all materials and submit the required documentation prior to approval.


1. Vendor Eligibility

Merchandise vendors may sell items such as:

  • Handmade crafts

  • Artwork

  • Jewelry

  • Clothing

  • Specialty goods

  • Home décor

  • Other approved retail merchandise

The City reserves the right to approve or deny vendors based on event needs, product duplication, or safety concerns.

Note: Food vendors must apply through the Food Vendor Application process and comply with health department regulations.


2. Vendor Application Process

To participate as a merchandise vendor, applicants must submit:

  • Completed Vendor Application Form

  • Vendor Fee Payment (once approved)

  • Copy of Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit

  • Description of merchandise to be sold

3. Booth Requirements

Vendors must provide their own:

  • Tent (10’x10’ maximum unless approved)

  • Tables and chairs

  • Weights for tents (minimum 40 lbs per leg)

All booths must remain within the assigned space.


4. Set-Up and Breakdown

Vendors must be completely set up prior to the start of the event.

Breakdown may begin only after the event concludes.


5. Sales Tax Requirements

All vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting sales tax to the:

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts

Vendors must provide a valid Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit.


6. Vendor Rules

Vendors must comply with the following:

  • No counterfeit or illegal merchandise

  • No weapons or controlled substances

  • No loud generators unless approved

  • No staking tents into pavement

  • Vendors must maintain a clean booth area

The City reserves the right to remove vendors who violate rules.


7. Weather Policy

Events may proceed rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe. Vendor fees are generally non-refundable due to weather.
