There are various boards, commissions, and committees that act in an advisory capacity to the City Council and in some instances are the final body for action. Gatesville residents are appointed to these boards, commissions, and committees by the City Council and serve two-year terms unless appointed to fulfill a vacancy.
City Council appointments are generally made in April and as needed throughout the year to fulfill vacancies.
