Scott Albert’s service as City Manager began on May 10, 2023. As City Manager, Mr. Albert is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the activities of all City departments. He conducts research, develops policies, and evaluates potential public programs in accordance with the direction provided by the City Council.

During his career, Mr. Albert has served as City Manager for communities in North and South Texas. He has also served as a Foreign Service Limited Officer for the United States Agency for International Development while working in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mr. Albert earned his undergraduate degree in Public Administration and Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. He and his wife Noemi enjoy spending time with their daughters Casey and Ashley, son-in-law’s Eric, and Travis and their two grandsons Theodore and Charlie.
