Faunt Le Roy Park Use Restricted April 5th-9th
The City of Gatesville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that they will restrict access to Faunt Le Roy park between the dates of April 5th and April 9th.
As part of the city’s plans to accommodate out of town visitors for the eclipse, the park is being utilized for expanded RV camping and tent camping during these dates. In addition to the existing RV spaces in the park, the middle of the walking trail will be used for expanded RV camping. Tent campers will be located in the picnic and playground area. A bathroom/shower trailer will be placed in the park for campers.
To protect the property and privacy of these campers, the park will be closed to public use beginning Friday, April 5 and will reopen on Wednesday, April 10. This closure includes the walking trail. Parks and Recreation staff will be onsite throughout this time and signs will be posted at the entrances giving notice of the closure.
Raby Park will remain open to the public, as usual.
