Criminal Investigations
The Criminal Investigator is responsible for:
- reviewing reports and filing cases
- evidence and property control
- crime scene investigation
- quality control of criminal reports
The Department currently has two Investigators assigned to this division as well as a Narcotics Agent who is also assigned to the Central Texas Narcotics Task Force to investigate area drug crimes.
Investigators receive special training in many aspects of police work including:
- Homicide
- Burglary
- Robbery
- Theft
- Assault
- Sexual Assault
- Computer Crimes
- Forgery and/or fraud
- Juvenile Law Procedure
- Code of Criminal Procedures
